Covid-19 Safty Procedures
GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR ALL VISITS

All training sessions will be held outdoors.

Masks must be worn at all times by both trainers and owners present. Service will not be provided to any person not wearing a mask in order to protect the health and wellbeing of all clients and trainers.

Gear used on dogs will be sanitized with disinfecting wipes by the trainer before and after each and every appointment.

Hand sanitizer will be used by the trainer prior to and immediately after handling every pet.

A distance of at least 6+ feet between people will be maintained at all times possible during training sessions.
SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR WALK & TRAIN VISITS

All transfers of dogs between owner and trainer will be contactless or provided with minimal contact.

Trainer will provide their own training gear whenever possible and will thoroughly sanitize all gear prior to and directly after use on client dogs.

Trainer will wear a mask whenever they expect to be within proximity of other humans.
DROP IN VISIT PROCEDURE

Trainer will enter the home to retrieve and return the dog only, minimizing time spent in the home to the least amount necessary.

Trainer will use personal training gear (leashes, training collars, etc.) whenever possible on the dog to minimize cross handling of items.

Trainer will bring the dog outdoors for the duration of the training session.

On returning the dog to the home, all items touched by the trainer will be wiped down with disinfecting wipes, including all pet equipment and door knobs.
CONTACTLESS CRATE HANDOFF PROCEDURE

Place dog in crate or on tie out just outside of the home at start of appointment time slot.

Trainer will retrieve the dog with their own leash and complete the training session outdoors.

At the end of session, the trainer will return the dog to their crate or tie, and sanitize all items, including crate handles and leash clasps with disinfectant wipes.

Trainer will ensure that the dog is retrieved by the owner prior to departure.
CONTACTLESS LEASH HANDOFF PROCEDURE

Both owner and trainer are required to wear masks throughout the exchange.

Owner will bring the leashed dog outdoors. The trainer will meet the owner and attach their own leash to the dog, allow the owner to remove the first leash, then continue through the training session.

The trainer will call the owner at the end of the session, and the hand off process will be completed in reverse for the dog’s return.
SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR AT HOME TRAINING VISITS

Trainer will meet the owner outdoors to begin the training session. This can be conducted at the owner’s home or a nearby public park.

The trainer will providing instruction from a distance of 6+ feet and will only have closer interaction when handing the dog off between trainer and owner.

Again, masks are required at all times by all human participants in order to receive services.

In applicable scenarios, the trainer will utilize a second dog for demonstration purposes during training sessions.
